been divided into three sections in order to be able to follow Malcolm's
"chronology of changes." The speeches with the Nation of
Islam reflect his love for Elijah Muhammad. The transition speeches
represent his ever-expanding points of view. The speeches after Islam
represent his complete detachment from Elijah Muhammad, and his almost
complete points of view -- and his dedication to using any means
necessary to gain the freedom of his African-American brothers
and sisters.
